In case any of you haven't played Madness, it's a deathload of gore and fun. Check it out at www.flashplayer.com/games/madnessinteractive.html SS P.S. sorry for the random post, just thought you all would like it. Oh and LT, you're a brave man to buy it.

Holy Shit the game is a blast the only negatives to the game are the simplistic user unfriendly lobby and there are some lag issues which come into play with 8+ppl. Other than that the game is 1000000 times better then the demos. I am having a blast wooping up on noobs LT

Overall, EE2 is MUCH better than the demos led me to believe. Here are my general thoughts:
On Territories - Once you play the game a few times you quickly get used to the territory feature. I do like how there is a main pop cap, and that you can increse your personal pop. cap by taking additional territories and adding houses (up to 6 on each territory).
On Upgrading - I am still getting used to not having custom civs (which blows) but the upgrading feature is really quite interesting. You have a choice to either go for more upgrades on each epoch, or to quickly gain lvls. It makes for interesting games, let me tell you.
On Lobby - Ok so we all know the lobby sux. However, word on the street is that MadDoc is releasing a patch that will include a whole new lobby design by the end of the month. So hopefully that will take care of it. Unfortunately, it will still be run on Gamespy so some of hte lag issues (when the game reaches pop with more than 6 players) will most likely continue to be an issue.
I really enjoy the game and urge at lease a few of you to take a risk and give it a go. If you have any further questions regarding my take on EE2 please feel free to ask.

can you customize the hotkeys?

from what i read on the official EE2 message board, you can modify just about anything. As far as how to do it, I am not really sure and I would rather not mess around with the programming b/c I would most likely screw something up.

See, im wondering, how much of ee/aoc was customizable, and how much of ee2 is actually cusumizable, it would be great to have a couple of you techy's analyze the game itself, the hit points, unit effectivenesses, and so on, wow, i really am looking forward to getting it, it doesnt look so bad after all, i will get it sometime soon, maybe il borrow some money from my friend and get it. maybe from best buy of walmart. i have no shame in shopping at wal mart, i dont see why people love best buy so much, but both stores are great. Wal mart kills bussinesses thats what i dont like about it. See on ee2 soon LT.. you better teach me how to play(this always has to happen) Does the game have special powers like AoC?! or is it more like ee?

Well there are special civ powers but they are not as "powerful" or as "useful" as they were in AoC. Really, I think you need to really learn the game pretty well before you will find them usefull. As of right now, I dont think many people employ them much and have stuck to learning the simpler nuances of the game.
The main problems with EE2 continue to be lag on larger pop multiplayer games.
As for mouse speed, It is slower than EE/AoC. However, you do get used to it.

Look, the game does have some problems, but most games do when they first come out. The bright side is that MadDoc at least appears to be working to correct the multiplayer lobby and whatever balance issues there are. Really the game is diff then reg EE, but it is fun in its own right. I also think they are working to add in a random epoch sett to appease all of the liga ppl demanding it. As far as my fav sett, I think i prefer 1-15 epoch TL. Its a lot of fun b/c you can actually rush and mess with someones eco, or you can boom. Really there are a lot of interesting aspects to this game that make it fun.

PS: I am really busy as of late, so I might not be on much. When I am it is usually between 9-12 eastern time all week. But like I said, I have been really busy and havent made it on i a couple of days. Probably wont be on much this week either, but if one of you guys pick it up, let me know here and I will try to be there when you are on.

i have it, my name on there is "Arbitrary" some person already had the nick name Dark cloud.. when i tried to make it, argggg only like a week after too... thats why i tried to get it early, lol... well i payed 40 dollars for it, at wal mart, but yeah, i cant uninstall it!!!
im having problems with it not receiving the update and not being able to uninstall it and reinstall it, so i can only hang out in the lobby chat, which sucks, the old lobby in aoc and ee was WAY better. slow mouse is weird, it doesnt feel like the cursor speed from my desktop. it feels ancient. but u get a lil used to it..

They gotta fix lobby...gameplay is a bit laggy since they run so many graphic effects like weather and stuff.

Ok well, there are actually some old school ee players that have moved to ee2. I just talked with Union Jack and he spoke of reviving CommonWealth on EE2. That is at a sign that the game has some life to it.
Anyway, great game tonight on AoC medusa. That was quite a struggle. Glad we pulled through in the end.
